Self-Care During Quarantine Time

blog

Hi There!! I hope the ladies had a great Mother's day.

Since March Laure and I have been quarantined at home. No bowling, no going and hanging out at the stores in the mall, no manicure or pedicure, no movies. Damn what is a girl to do?

I do not know about you but I am following the CDC guidelines and staying cautious. Not taking chances of going out much. Luckily we have family who does our grocery shopping, and we are eating right, not pigging out on stuff we really should not be eating. Plus we do get a share of exercise as well.

Finding things to do around the house is not an issue. Retired, I am pretty much at home and trust me enjoying it. Do Laure and I sit around all day and feel sorry for ourselves? The answer is no, we pretty much have our own space. I recently moved here to Virginia with my friend Laure. Her husband died and we are co-housing together. Since the quarantine, we are spending more time at home. Besides the usual keeping the house clean, and other duties one does around the house, we find pleasure in reading, computer games, AARP has a website with games, from word search to card games. I like to dabble in writing my romance stories, and catching up on tv shows. We do find relaxing in the evening watching some really good movies tops off the day.

Have you seen that a lot of people are doing exercises via Zoom. I think it's fun, a little Zumba, Yoga, loads of good exercises to do virtually. Since we cannot go to the Gym, let the Gym come to you. https://www.aarp.org/benefits-discounts/. If you like to try AARP website there are also tons of different exercises you can do. Tons of good info on the Virus, and loads of things to do to keep you from being bored during the Pandemic.

Well got to run, until next week. Enjoy the rest of this week. And hey Relax, Smile, Be Kind, Laugh, and learn to love you for who you are!!!
